Getting Ready for Denmark and Sweden

Getting ready for another venture can often be a bit stressful - and this week no different!!

Mini computer died on the weekend so had to dash out and buy a micro one - so getting that all sorted...

but getting there!  now to gather everything together - zip up everything and just go with the flow

Maggie has been semi-disassembled and is now trussed up in a bike bag with a lot of bubble wrap and a bit of luggage - hopefully just under 23kg!  so my carry-on luggage is hopefully under 7kg, so nothing to worry about!!

Maggie trussed up securely I hope!

So arriving in Copenhagen - 2 nights, then train to Sweden and heading off around the south end of Sweden, then up the east coast, dropping in on the islands of Bornholm, Oland and Gotland.  After Gotland, heading into the centre of Sweden, up past lake country all the way to Orebro for a couple of weeks with Agnete and Anders.

so....  let's see if it all works!

  1. Righteo Ms Chris, giddy up!
I am keen to vicariously follow your impending journey ... as per usual.
I have alerted some mutual friends and possibly a few other acquaintances of your new trip and hope they enjoy your blog as much as I usually do.
So go forth and pedal strongly. :)

  2. Just watched a lucky TV presenter on a freebie-best-of-everything-access-all-areas promoting this well known open sandwich cafe in Copenhagen. Evidently the Danish royal family are customers so if you go you might run into 'our Mary'. http://www.idadavidsen.dk/en-gb/cms/Welcome

  3. ... or maybe not. Looked up reviews of the prices there:
Example 1: £80 for 3 small sandwiches, two pints of beer and 2 small schnapps

Example 2: £30 for two open sandwiches and a beer

    1. Dear Travelling Wildeheart - nice to see you are up to date with whats happening in the real world - ie me and my pedals :) but yep, unfortunately my purse is not the same size as our Mary's, so a nice pedal pass might be all I am up to!!!
