It was pretty cool in the morning, but not raining so we decided to take a walk down to Kultsjärn– but no swimming today – the wind was very cool!
No wi-fi but Sudoku still works |
It’s been a very wet summer and the walk down to the lake ended up with some very wet feet. The boggy bit was very wet and very boggy. The blueberries are starting to ripen - still some more growing to do but very tasty – but we did leave plenty for the wild life.
Breakfast is finished - time to pack up! |
At the lookout |
Looks a bit cold and windy |
Kultsjarn |
the magic forest - carpet of blueberries |
We tested the water temperature and it actually didn’t feel
too bad – compared with the air temperature.
So we just looked out over the water and remembered past visits.
Soon it was time to pack up and head up towards
Skogalund. Anders went ahead, so that we
could just have a quick look at the Loppis up along the way. But this time I didn’t find anything to buy,
tho Karina came away with a book about cooking potatis!Quiet time to say goodbye to Finnafallet |
Sadersala is too busy catching flies to say goodbye |
Kitchen in Skogalund - bread oven! |
The sun was still hiding behind the clouds but the rain was
holding off. We checked out the pizza
menu then called through an order for lunch.
So Agnete and I headed off to Hällefors to collect them. Skogalund has had several changes since I was
there 2 years ago, but there is still a lot to go. We sat up in the Uggla room – but no sign of
ugglas (ie baby owls) this time. It is
quite cold up there compared to the lower room where the kitchen stove is.
Skogalund |
Still no wi-fi |
Welcome flowers |
Blueberries for the picking |
Yep, we're in Sweden |
Lookout - forests and lakes galore |
Mama Moo has landed in Orebro |
Then it was time to leave – this time Anders was driving and
we went up to the lookout to look over the lakes and forest district. From there it is amazing just how far the
lakes and forests stretch out – with only an occasional house in view.
Eventually we arrived back in Örebro – and somehow Agnete magic
‘ked up kantarella cooked to perfection in real butter, with toast and garlic
or herb butter for garnish – yummo!!!
