Day 18: Drive to Tibro

along the way to Tibro
After breakfast, Anders and I headed off to Tibro to collect Anna and Karina.  Not far along the way, an announcement came over the radio of an accident that was blocking the highway ahead, so we conveniently took a detour and came in the back way to Tibro.  Now this wasn’t a usual type of short cut, it was still on a major highway and the section they were working on in 2010 is now completed.
crazy cyclists :)  nice bike path tho - wonder where it goes?

Actually saw a couple of couples cycling along with all the gear – it was raining and one lot were half-heartedly pulling waterproofs over their panniers, but weren’t doing a very good job.  Why would people ride in that weather???  Yeah, I know that’s what people say!
Lakeside pizzeria
The girls were awake and it sounded like they had a good time together – shopping, sauna and generally hanging out together – and spoiling dear Milton – the dog!  After sitting around for a chat, we decided to order pizza from the Summertime Lake pizzeria – so we headed off to put in our order.  There was a summer camp for kids there and they seemed to be enjoying jumping off the pontoon in the water and generally have a great time, but I was still rugged up in my rain jacket…  Strange people live here – or tough!!
a walk in the lakeside forest whilst waiting for pizza
Southern forests - more oaks than pines and birch
Wooden bell tower

We headed back to Örebro after lunch.  I set up the GoPro on the dashboard and recorded some of the journey back.  But there were no älg’s running onto the road, nothing worthy to upload to YouTube, so generally a safe and comfortable ride back to home again.
